Hi i have been running pfsense 1.2.3 on a dual P3 1.4ghz 1.2gb ram and two 9.1gb 10k rpm scsi hdds (raid1) for about 4 months all worked great but i got curiues on Pfsense 2.0 so i downloaded and installed that yesterday on this same server config, now to the "problem" when i ping my fw now 192.168.0.254 i get between 10-16ms reply before when i was running 1.2.3 version i had 1ms to sometimes 10ms but often it was between 1 - 3ms i run the "out of box settings" now on version 2.0 i checked some settings to try turn them on and off to see if it makes any diffrent but it dont i would say i am noob and trying to learn :) so not all settings make sense to me.
Also i have not checked any cards or anything in the server all is like it was with 1.2.3.
    The nic´s are:
1x intel pro 1000mt quad port
1x d-link (100mbit) quad port dont remember exact modell anyway its just haning around in the box its not inuse right now all is connected now to the intel pro 1000 like it was with version 1.2.3.
I know 10ms is a okey ping but i like to try get it as low as possible i got lower ping to my ISPs dns and gateway thats not even in the building so i think something is wrong.

Try adding a rule to put ICMP traffic into qacks and try again.
