    2.0 RC-2 problems to install packages

      Hello,

      if i want to install squid or other packages from the package menu, i get an error. I have installed the follow version:
      2.0-RC2 (amd64)
      built on Thu May 19 22:21:03 EDT 2011

      The error message is follow:

      
      Beginning package installation for squid...
      Downloading package configuration file... done.
      Saving updated package information... done.
      Downloading squid and its dependencies... 
      Checking for package installation... 
       Downloading http://files.pfsense.org/packages/amd64/8/All/squid-2.7.9.tbz ...  could not download from there or http://ftp2.FreeBSD.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/amd64/packages-8.1-release/All/squid-2.7.9.tbz.
      of squid-2.7.9 failed!
      Installation aborted.Backing up libraries...

      Starting package deletion for squid-2.7.9...done.

      Didn´t the packages run on the 2.0-RC2?

        The link to the download file is working.

        some ideas:

        • internet connection missing?
        • not enough free space on /tmp (see system.log)

        would be nice to see your log (try clog -f /var/log/system.log) during download/install process on console…

          I've just installed this package from the menu. It downloaded fine so did all the dependencies. Try reinstalling.

          Beginning package installation for squid…
          Downloading package configuration file... done.
          Saving updated package information... done.
          Downloading squid and its dependencies...
          Checking for package installation...
          Downloading http://files.pfsense.org/packages/amd64/8/All/libwww-5.4.0_4.tbz ...  (extracting)Loading package configuration... done.
          Configuring package components...
          Additional files... done.
          Loading package instructions...
          Menu items... done.
          Integrated Tab items... done.
          Services... done.
          Custom commands...
          Executing custom_php_install_command()...done.
          Executing custom_php_resync_config_command()...done.
          Writing configuration... done.

          Installation completed.   Please check to make sure that the package is configured from the respective menu then start the package.

            Hello,

            thanx for fast help. I was able to resolv my problem with the system.log file. There was a problem with a other proxy server in the subnet.
