2.0 RC2 AMD64 issue upgrading from May 15th to May 25th build.

Update works but after reboot the dashboard shows a hard drive picture and says it's updating packages. 90 minutes later still on the updating packages screen. No way to abort and no real status update.
I was running vnstat2, countryblock, and mac2vendor. mac2vendor and vnstat2 seem to be ok as I can see them in the menu's but countryblock is not showing up.
Will go to the DC tomorrow and hookup to the console…..

i agree, the upgrade/update process is quite unnerving.

I've done maybe 30 or 40 2.0 updates from snapshots without issues, until this latest go around.

check your console, one of the packages must have failed to reinstall.
Probably mac2vendor because that code is now in the base system of 2.0 (with some improvements).

Interesting as another unit that only had mac2vendor installed did upgrade fine, and showed it in the packages post upgrade. removing it from the installed packages removes that functionality.
When did mac2vendor become part of 2.0? This is yesterdays snapshot I am using.

It was merged in a weekend or two ago, right before the move to github. It probably uninstalled ok since the files it made last time it successfully installed were there, or its patch reversed (I haven't looked at its install code).
After uninstall the next firmware update should bring it back.
It may not be that package, could be something else, but it would show on the console.

FYI- I upgraded a 64-bit VM I have to today's snap from the 19th with no problems, and I had the following packages installed: nmap, nrpe2, ntop, OpenVPN client export, and TFTP.
