Firstly, i am guessing that if i have 3 NIC's (WAN, LAN, OPT1) that with both the LAN and OPT1 configured, i should be able to login to the webgui from either?

Here is the issue i am having. I have setup both LAN and OPT1 exactly the same, apart from having different IP's (192.168.100.0/24 and 192.168.10.0/24).  When i connect to the LAN from my laptop, via a AP in bridge mode plugged into the LAN port, i get DHCP correctly, and i can access the webgui, and browse the net and all through no problems.  When i try the same through the OPT1, i get DHCP correctly, but i can't access the gui or browse, i can't even ping the OPT1 IP address… Any Ideas what is going wrong here? These are both identical NIC's, both are new.

Except for the LAN, the default is to block all traffic - did you create any rules to allow the traffic?

On the web interface, look at the Firewall menu. From there you'll find various options including Rules.

I can highly recommend reading the documentation.

As the default is to block all, you need to create an appropriate allow rule. Start with a simple allow all rule.
