      v2.0 all releases i have tried seem to suffer from ifa_add_loopback_route: insertion failed

      is it related to this PR/156278 ?

      will this prevent carp ip from working ?

        You have to tell more information on this.
        As far as you PR link the patch is in pfSense already.

          ok i wondered in case i was wasting my energy. I just dont seem to be able to get carp running under hyper v it appears to work on the 1.2.3 release but just get init state on v2, each time i enable carp i

            sorry accidentally posted above before i had finished  ::)

            get  ifa_add_loopback_route: insertion failed in dmesg and carp just doesnt work for me.

            not sure what else you would like to know.

              Put the related system log here.
              Put a tcpdump trace of traffic related to carp.
              a sysctl -a | grep carp output
              and ifconfig output including your config.xml if possible.
