Should I update?
-
I just updated to 2.0RC1, and it says there is an update. I'm guessing, based on the date, it's a nightly build. Is it safe to upgrade? Remembering from other projects, nightlies are often very buggy.

where did you get your rc1 build? Yes they update it like daily, I would grab the latest build
What is the date of your build. Mine is currently
2.0-RC2-IPv6 (i386)
built on Fri May 27 18:34:57 EDT 2011I don't bother to update everyday, but more like every week or so sometimes every other week - but then I run the development ipv6 code and run gitsync every few days if I notice a commit on the rss feed that is of interest to me, etc.

RC2 is out? I didn't know. Currently, I have:
2.0-RC1 (i386)
built on Sat Feb 26 15:30:26 EST 2011If I click on the update, I get:
A new version is now available
Current version: 2.0-RC1
Built On: Sat Feb 26 15:30:26 EST 2011
New version: Mon May 30 01:29:27 EDT 2011Is this one OK?

Yes, that looks fine. Have fun updating :)

Yeah feb 26 is quite an old build - I would update to be sure. And yeah they made the change to rc2 quite some time ago, not sure if official or not?

I was addicted to updating as much as possible..until today. Yesterdays image seems to have screwed my ath0 WLAN. The interface stays down, when enabled. Guess i'm going back to an older version.
-edit
seems like i found the problem.-"Common wireless configuration - Settings apply to all wireless networks on ath0."
–"Standard": set to 802.11ng causes the interface to go down after a few seconds. Strange. ::)
