      Hi,

I have to do a deployment of multiple pfsense servers and i wonder if there's some way to add some packages to the iso to avoid connecting to internet on each package install.

      Thanks and regards.

No, not easily. The system needs to install the packages "live" so the proper settings get applied.

If you are on 2.0 though you can install one, run /etc/rc.create_full_backup, and take the file you get and after installing on the other machines, copy up that file and run /etc/rc.restore_full_backup <filename>.</filename>

            Hi,

It works fine, we get the iso, add the full backup and change rc.initial to make the restore.

The problem now it's to do the same thing on the memstick image, we cant insert the full backup on the image cause there's no enough free space (memstick img is 250MB). It's there any way to increase the partition size? I have tried using the info in http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Resize_Embedded_Flash_Image but doesn't work (at least with RC3)

            Any suggestion will be welcome.

Finally we've created a new partition, we put a full backup on it and we change rc.initial to mount the partition and restore from pendrive.

It works well and we can install easily pfsense from pendrive with all packages and customized files.

              Regards.
