      @cmb:

Tom, you can just send me or Jim P. binaries and we'll get them uploaded.

      Awesome!
I update the binary every so often. I hope that won't be an issue.

I'm having problems getting Country Block to run. I keep getting the error Current Status = NOT running
/tmp/rules.debug:102: cannot load "/usr/local/www/packages/ipblocklist/lists/ipfw.ipfw": No such file or directory
        You are blocking 0 Networks.

        PfSense 2.0-RC3 (i386)
built on Thu Jul 7 22:58:43 EDT 2011.

One country selected and I tried the suggested workarounds (edited a single rule without changing it, saving, etc.). I also rebooted the firewall box…

I had a simalure issue. I did a simple reinstall of the package and everything worked from that point forward. Also did this issue start after a firmware update? I always have to reinstall Country Block after a firmware update.

I have a similar problem. I have done a fresh install of 2.0 rc3 and installed country block. On the country block page it says that it is running and blocking networks and when I run /usr/local/etc/rc.d/countryblock.sh from the shell it says that it is running. I tried to ping some ips in the blocked ranges and it is definitely working. But in the syslog it says that it is not running.

root: Countryblock was found not running

I keep getting this whether countryblock is installed or not on one of my firewalls… and whether or not its running...

Looks like something left behind from an earlier install…  Any clue how to fix it??      :)

I'm the same thing but it seems more of an annoyance and doesn't seem to affect the firewall itself.

How do you know it won't install?

What other software do you have installed? I tried putting on a graph software and had to remove it before installing Country Block. Once Country Block was installed, I then reinstalled the graphing software.

I know it was strange, but the above worked.

After I did my image updateand went to the web gui, it was stating packages were installing in the background. It did this on both systems. I have never seen this message before. It took a while to complete because it was hanging on the Country Block install. Would vnstat cause an issue? I only have cron, vnstat, country block installed.

I just restarted my system again and tried to reinstall it. It keeps hanging at Addtional Files CIDR.php during the install.

Update, not only will it hang, it also locks up the web gui to the point that your cannot access it anymore until you reboot, but yet you still have access to the Internet.

I don't know what is causing the problem. I can tell you that Country Block would NOT install until I un-installed the other packages. Once they were un-installed, I rebooted the box and then installed Country Block. Afterwards, I installed the other 2 packages. Since then, I have updated Country Block with no problem at all and everything is working.

Everything is working now. Try the above and let me know if it works.

The only way I could get Country Block to install was to un-install ALL (only 2 in my case) of the other packages. Then when I rebooted, Country Block installed instantly. I feared for the installing of the other packages, but they installed fine and Country Block still worked.

Ok, I have uninstalled all packages on both systems, rebooted and I still cannot get Country Block reinstalled. This problem occured right after updating to the lastes pfsense image today 07/21/2011.

Does anyone else have this issue?

                                        Thanks,

Sorry to hear that. I'm using a version from about 3 weeks ago.

Now I'm afraid to upgrade. Please let me know what you find out.

This is a message that keeps popping up in system logs. Note Country Block is not installed and I am unable to reinstall it. It looks like chpalmer on the 07/19/2011 has this same issue.
