      Hi all,

I make rule to limit the IP address one of my user in downloading / upload. But it seems doesn't work.

I limit he Ip for download not more than 500Kb, and upload 100Kb (This rule should me him download not more than 50kbps)

But when i check at Traffic Graph, It download 300kbps (Means he got 3 Mb line)

My network only has 3.2 Mb, how could i stop him? I can't give him warning or etc. Because his own the company and he the person who can't tolerate which everyone.

      Can give me some idea?

Lorh, My Traffic shaper doesn't work. Just now I try test at my computer. But before this no problem.

I don't touch anything, just yesterday I install and configure squid. Did have any connection between squid and Traffic Shaper?

I already restart my pfsense, also not solve the problem.

I restore to factory default, than my Traffic Shaper is working smoothly,

But how to limit ip in range, because currently my DHCP range is (192.168.1.120 - 150)

So is troublesome to make it 1 by 1, Have any idea how to overcome this?

The traffic graph defaults to Kilobits/s.  Are you sure you got the right figure?  If you do, then you need to start by adjusting your queues upperlimits and ensuring that your rules are correct so that they will catch the IP.

Also, are you using pfSense 1.2.3 or 2.0?

I can use traffic shaper after i restore my configuration. Currently i'm having problem to set my DHCP client in range

My existing DHCP client is, 192.168.1.120 – 192.168.1.150

So, i want make all of them (in range) to download 500kbps

It very hard to me to make 30 rules for this client. Any idea how to make it in range on traffic shaper. Thanks

Owh forget to mention. I'm using 1.2.3, 2.0 Still in beta right?

If the traffic shaper takes a CIDR range, try 192.168.1.224/27, allocating 192.168.1.225 to 192.168.1.254 (192.168.1.192/28, allocating 192.168.1.193 to 192.168.1.254).

It seems little tricky, but anyhow at my traffic shaper function for CIDR is disable. Only point to /31 means 2 right?
Not fully understand how i want to use CIDR in my traffic shaper, but i can't playing around that because the function is disable.

Actually, I want to point out that this is not true. 300 Kb = .3Mb. 1000 Kbit = 1Mbit.
