      I'm kinda lost here

      There's some problems with the update process, I'm using pfSense-2.0-RC3-i386-20110621-1650.iso.gz 2011-Jun-22 09:19:23 96.4M

I'll try to put in all the things i've tried

I'm getting: "There has been an error verifying the signature on this image. Update cannot continue.  You can disable this check on the Updater Settings tab."

Checked the "Allow auto-update firmware images with a missing or invalid digital signature to be used."

      Still having the same issue

Using manual update: the browser (firefox or chrome or IE) uploads the full update tgz (quite fast as its just local ethernet uploading) and never get's answer from pfSense, checking on the console, it restarts but the uploaded file is not found and really never updates, seemls like the file it's there but the boot script cant find it, a 2nd try to update from console throws, cannot download because there's a file already there.

Trying to update from console: using URL, using auto URL "cannot contact with server", specifying the url, "cannot contact or find the files"

I have pfSense in a VM using openSuse v14 and XEN, everything was working nice but at some point pfSense stopped updating, checked and rechecked the automatic url and everything seems OK

When I use a DHCP to get WAN pfSense can check for updates but have the above problem, when i put in static IP, specify a DNS, checking resolution with the web->menu->diagnostics->dns-lookup seems like there's no problem, checking WAN route: I power up a workstation VM with selecting my pfSense as gateway it works as expected but pfSense web or terminal seems like it does not have internet at all or maybe not having DNS resolution. Trying to put putting the IP of snapshots.pfsense.org in the case of DNS not working still dont updates.

Now im installing the package of DNS and repeat every update options….

          The update URL changed.
Please Search this forum, jimp did a lengthy post about it and what to change. Should solve your Problem.

          Oops, Steve was faster…

You are right i should search, in this case i used "update error" search
            Replied:

            Pages: [1]

            (No results found)

            Pages: [1]

            Reading

Thanx for the link to the thread by the way

for that thread i would suggest including the following text:
"There has been an error verifying the signature on this image. Update cannot continue.  You can disable this check on the Updater Settings tab."

so a search about "Update cannot continue" (or similar searchs) throws that as result

notice that the thread is hard to find using keywords for the search engine, and it is on the 2.0-RC Feedback and Problems section

I tried "update error" in the search box and it gives me this: Pages: [1] 2 3 4 5 … 38

Maybe you are searching in just a particular section of the forum.
For the Installation and Upgrades section: Pages: [1] 2 3
              For 2.0-RC Snapshot Feedback and Problems section: Pages: [1] 2 3 4 5 … 13

              Did this solve your problem?
