When I upgraded to 2.0 RC3 last night I noticed I had 2 IGMPProxy items in my menu. I decided to uninstall it to see if they go away. It did take the package away but one is still showing in the menu. I still even see a service for it listed. It is not running since the bin files are now gone though.

The problem is that the package manager does not consider it to be installed or available for install. So I do not see any way of getting it installed again.

Is there any way to remove all mention of IGMPProxy from the system so that it is available for install again?

      Thanks.

The IGMP proxy is with 2.0 in the base itself.
–> It is no longer a package.

Not sure what i would do in your case besides backing up the config, and set the box up again.

We do what we must, because we can.

if you still have your 1.2.3 config… a easy way to fix it... Re-install 1.2.3, do a restore... Then remove the IGMPProxy package... Then upgrade to 2.0... Your IGMPProxy settings will remain in your 1.2.3 configure after you remove the package, i'm not sure if those settings will merge into the 2.0 IGMPProxy.. I'm thinking it will.

Another way you could do this, is remove the the entries in your config.xml that reference IGMProxy... Then after a fresh install of 2.0, do a restore..

I think think the first way would be safer

          hope this helps

What if I just grab the latest snapshot of RC3 and do an upgrade? Will this fix the issue?

Btw, I guess this is a bug in the upgrade from 1.2.3. Anything that used to be a package that was moved into the core will show up twice and when you uninstall the old package you kill the core version too.

            Thanks.

I'll try a snapshot upgrade later tonight and see if it works. If it does I will post the good news (or bad…). Might be useful to others.

                Thx.

The snapshot upgrade worked! The igmpproxy is fully working again.

Perhaps something to add into the 2.0 upgrade script. If the old package is there - uninstall automatically before doing the 2.0 upgrade.

                  Glad this worked!
