Which ISO for to 2.0 RC3 for Atom D525?

I'm confused… which ISO installation for pfSense-2.0-RC3 should be used for installation on an Atom D525 box?
pfSense-2.0-RC3-amd64-20110621-2308.iso.gz
or
pfSense-2.0-RC3-i386-20110621-1650.iso.gz
or ???

You could use either, however…
The advantages of 64 bit over 32 are really quite small in most circumstances.
There are far more people using, and hence removing bugs from, the 32bit build. However using 64bit will help find and remove any bugs. ;)

Great, I've opted for the AMD64 ISO to run on the Atom box.

So what exactly are the advantages of AMD64 over i386 besides being able to address more RAM? I'm using i386 right now because there were problems with Snort and the AMD64 version.

Asides from the fact that you're helping to filter out the bugs, running the 64bit version is making better use of your hardware that is able to handle 64bit instructions.
In reality it doesn't seem that much of the code is optimised for 64bit instructions and the performance increase is minimal.Steve

One of advantages is to have bigger statetable cause of more ram

Yes more ram is the reason most people switch to 64bit but I think 4GB is the limit on an Atom board anyway.
Here are some benchmarks: http://www.tuxradar.com/content/ubuntu-904-32-bit-vs-64-bit-benchmarks
It's Linux but I imagine the results would be similar for FreeBSD. They make the interesting point that a lot of 32bit code is compiled for i386 where as anything compiled for 64bit is at least i686 or newer so can use all the newer instructions.Steve
