Country Block

Okay, the webserver should be responding now.
If your install failed recently, try again.
-
Ok that did the trick thanks, but now I am getting this message when I try a test e-mail send.
Mailer Error: SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.
I know my setting are correct.
Thanks Again

Make sure your username/pass are correct and your port is correct.
The email tab is going to be removed in the next version of countryblock. The package is stable therefore no email is needed.
-
Good to hear it is stable enough to remove that feature.
Thanks

So when will the next version of Country Block be out. We won't hold you to it, just a guess-ta-ment!
Thanks!

I'd imagine around the same time that the new IP-Blocklist package is released. (1-5 months). The time frame is based around my work/life schedule and available funds.
More realistically probably in the next two months. :)

Getting this error when reloading the CountryBlock Package. How can I correct. Uninstalled and re-installed package and getting same error. PFsense Rc3 August 24th version.
Current Status = NOT running
/tmp/rules.debug:270: cannot load "/usr/local/www/packages/ipblocklist/lists/ipfw.ipfw": No such file or directory
You are blocking 0 NetworksThanks

The file will be hosted on github shortly. This will be reflected in the next package update.

Hello, I was running PFsense 1.2.0, I upgraded to 1.2.3, installed snort, then the following day I installed Country Block and it all appeared OK except that after selecting countries, commit, then enable/save - it shows its running but blocking 0 networks. Then I noticed that there is no service showing for Country Block (running or not running). Also when I install it, the system log shows as the last entry, php: /pkg_mgr_install.php: Beginning package installation for Country Block. I see no completion message, no service start message even though its listed as running (even though there is no service). It seems like it never really installed? I really appreciate any help with this. Thanks.

CountyBlock doesn't run as a service. It sounds like you committed your countries but the "Enable countryblock" check box isn't checked on the main page of the package.

I read the posts after I had trouble. I uninstalled it and deleted the log file, reinstalled, rebooted, I then selected 2 countries, clicked commit countries - It replies that my settings have been saved, "currently 2 of 252 selected". And at the bottom it shows Current status = NOT running. I then select the "Enable Country Block" box at the top and click save at the bottom. It then shows Current status = running, You are blocking 0 networks. In that same screen, my countries are still selected and it still shows "currently 2 of 252 selected". If I'm dong something wrong, I don't see it. phl

Okay. Try to uninstall and re-install one more time. I think there was something going on with the server's gateway.

Sorry that it took so long to get installed. Just so everyone knows this issue will be fixed very soon. This won't be a problem any longer.

I had an OOPS this AM. ;D ;D
I was updating my country block, and inadvertently selected all. It worked perfectly. Unfortunately, we couldn't get to google, or email. Took me a few minutes to get it right. -
