Xbox 360 and Netflix
-
I was not really sure where to post this, but I have a xbox 360 I stream Netflix on. I can not get videos to playback on netflix, I must need to add something somewhere, but I am not sure what. On my old firewall I just placed its ip in a dmz, but I can not easily figure that out here. I have HAVP enabled as transparent, I thought this was the problem as it was trying to scan the steaming media but I played with it and had no luck. Any suggestions?

What verison of pfSense are you using?
Do you have UPnP & NAT-PMP enabled?
I'm running 2.0 with UPnP & NAT-PMP enabled and have no issues with my xbox or any other device that has a netflix app built-in. Netflix streams over port 80 if I remember so HAVP is probably your issue. Turn off HAVP and see if it work. I dont use HAVP so someone else will have to help with that.

Enable HTTP range requests. It's about halfway down the HTTP Proxy tab in HAVP.

I have the latest version, I keep it up to date as soon as one comes out. I will try to find the HAVP range request and see what that does :) thanks for the info, I will get back to you asap.

Enabling Range request does not make any difference, infact I think it got worse.

Does Netflix work on any of the computers?

Interesting, my wife told me that it is just fine on the nintendo Wii over wifi, but my xbox over wired is not working correctly, after uninstalling havp it worked perfectly on xbox, but I would like to have it installed and working. I am at a loss.
