I need to find a reasonable priced PCI-E VPN processing board.

Been using Google but nothing comes up.

Have you looked at getting or a pci to pci-e bridge?

It may be cheaper in the long run to upgrade you cpu.

          It's a thought but I don't have much room in the mini board/case I am using…

I would go for a cpu upgrade i doubt you will find a card with what you’re looking for: a) cheap enough b) supported by pfsense c) pci-e
What hardware are you using now, and what vpn throughput are you aiming for? Personally I would be thinking about a core-i3 if I wanted a good vpn throughput. There are a decent number of mini-itx motherboards that support these cpu's.

Be wary of using an older VPN board in newer hardware/bus. You might actually slow down your VPN throughput instead of speed it up. You could end up saturating the bus driving traffic through the offloading card when a new CPU could do the same or better.

Currently I am building based on an Atom 1.6 mhz with a 100mbit through-put with 10 VPN connections.
