      Hi.
I have to learn some simple things about development iso.
I read http://devwiki.pfsense.org/DevelopersBootStrapAndDevIso and don't understand somethings superficial.

      1. I setup FreeBSD 8.2 and run steps 1. 2. 3. 4. and 5.
On the menu selected "Build regular iso" and waited about 18 hours and it did nothing.
Then I aborted and selected a different version on the menu and ask me cvs server.
        What shall I write?

What is the wrong?  My FreeBSD version?

      1. It said a open virtual format pfSense.ova. What is the relationship between development iso and this?

They are so important for me. Even if you have a tiny idea, please write. Thanks.

I can answer the 2nd one. the OVA file is a prebuilt installation of the FreeBSD development environment. It should be an installed and setup copy that runs under a virtual machine. The development ISO would be the installation disc so you could install the development environment onto a computer. If you setup an ESXi box or Virtual box, you won't need the dev ISO and can simply import the ova file and start working. If you want to install directly onto a pc then you'll need to make a dev cd and install that onto a hard drive.
