      Hi everyone,

I have just made a php file which extracts ping results to my main server and then stores data to MySQL on my main server.

1- What directory is the best place to put this .php file on a stock pfSense 2.0 install so that it can be called and run from cron job?
2- Does pfSense 2.0 stock has php-mysql installed? or do I have to install that as a package? please guide.

      Thanks

I would have to guess that a stock build has got php running as the Web GUI is php..

As far as where to put the file, i also don't know sorry.

pfsense doesn't have mysql installed by default. Take a look at installed packages by running```
          pkg_info

I don't think it is a good idea to have that file running on pfsense. You may create a vulnerability or open pfsense for attack when doing this. Good luck!

Running the MySQL client isn't as dangerous as the server, so it's not too bad there.

That said, you'd have to compile php52-mysql, which can be done using a pfSense builder setup (check the doc wiki), and then copy the files over to the firewall.
