Constant download host?
-
I found a cheap (very cheap) ISP as a backup however it is dynamic IP as well as bandwidth delivery. They state very minimal terms in the SLA.
Is there a site out there that I can use to download at max bandwidth for 2-3 days to see if they are serious?
The connection is 50/35 and I have the bandwidth to handle the upload I just don't have the free 50mbit on my end to push out that much data non-stop. Can be VPN or internet - I'll be happy to return the favor is someone else is willing to host for me. I have generic data as well.
Thx.

You can download dvd torrent iso from many SO,including freebsd(http://www.freebsd.org/releases/8.2R/announce.html) just google for it.
You can also create an account at any fileshare sites over internet and download anything you want.
Or install iperf on your firewall and find someone who has 50/35 datalink or more to test it with you.

You could create a downloadlist ob some DVD linux .iso from different sites. Ubuntu, opensuse, freebsd and just download these files one after another or parallel.

This is what I usually do to test a connection. Typically a Linux distro though, they tend to have more peers.
