Hi, If I have two PFsense running on two devices, one ADSL modem, one fully managed switch at home and would like to have the two PFsense working in fail-over mode. How can I configure the switch

The ADSL modem will be running in bridge mode and the two PFsense will connect to the internet over PPPoE, if one of them dies, the other one will kick in to replace the dead one.

    Thanks in advance

    RW

You may need to change dsl modem to router because CARP needs at least 3 ips on same subnet.

I don't know if there is a feature to do not start wan auth While in backup mode.
