Pfsense keeps killing my irc connection

Hi,

After upgrading from pfsense 1.2.3 to 2.0 I've begun to experience some problems with my irc session timing out.

I'm guessing my problem could have something to do with firewall timeouts. Setting Firewall Optimization from normal to conservative helped a bit. When set normal the connection timed out after about 5 minutes and with conservative after about 30 minutes.

Any ideas?

You need to enable "keepalive" on your IRC client?

Doesn't irc protocol have kind of keepalive built in? http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc1459#section-4.6.2

Maybe the default is longer than than the firewall state timer.
