      i am in trouble for squid installation …..the error is ...

      "Downloading package configuration file... done.
      Saving updated package information... done.
      Downloading squid and its dependencies... done.
      Checking for successful package installation... failed!

      Installation aborted."

        HONESTLY i updated it and i am in the same situation as you are right now… BUT, checking.... the system goes for downloads (squid) to this:

        http://ftp2.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-8.1-release/

        And if you use ANY browser, that 8.1-release is GONE, not there, MISSING.

        That's why (i believe) I/We can't make the UPDATE

        Any other idea/suggestion how to work this?

        In the meantime i am DOWNGRADING my pfSense to the previous version, i believe it uses a diff FOLDER to get updates from

        Sorry if i am not mentioning with the proper grammer / writting skills... i am just a simple guy, learning from Costa Rica !!!

          files.pfsense.org is down and you will not be able to install packages with binaries until this server is up.

            Well, i have installed the previous and use the software i need it to run

            ;)

            That works out for me!!

            Thats a temp solution, of course when everything be back, i will update it and move forward :)
