Something must be wrong. I started the 2.0 to 2.0.1 upgrade 2.75 hours ago and my pfSense still shows:

Packages are currently being reinstalled in the background.
Do not make changes in the GUI until this is complete

Nothing in today's world of quad cores ever takes 2.75 hours to run.  Something must be wrong.  So, assuming it's stuck on something, what do I do?

Remote SSH does not work.  Local access to shell works fine.

      Thanks

I have some package problems.  If I go to the shell and execute a "pkg_info" I don't see any listing for anything related to squid or snort (and those two packages are installed in the webConfigurator).  Must have got corrupted somehow.

I'm going to do a factory reset… ugh.

Package reinstall probably failed. Check the console.

You can clear the lock by going to Diagnostics > Backup/Restore and hitting the button at the bottom to reset the lock.

Then you can reinstall the packages you need.
