Carp and quagga

after extensive testing we have just deployed a carped array with bgp on two pairs of boxes.
the quagga lists and the freebsd lists say that this is fraught wiith troubles but with the configuratoin we are using all was fine.

bgp boxes all setup with theree real ips as ids route reflector in place. then all default gateways set to carp ips and same in advanced outbound nat.

was la all working. i felt the need to post this as my previous research had said it would not work.
