I am setting up a pfSense 2.0 RC1 for a site and I have a need to have 3 dns servers configured for dhcp clients.  Since the Web UI does not allow this, I tried to edit the dhcpd.conf file manually.  Unfortunately every time I restart the dhcpd server, the file is overwritten regardless of how I change the permissions (take away all write access).  So can we up the number of configurable DNS servers to 3 or 4 or is there a way I can manually edit some files to accomplish this?

Also the second issue is that I had to change the interface assignments on a fresh 2.0 RC1 install.  Unfortunately the static IP did not get set on the new interface and I had to reboot the machine for the assignment to take completely.  This strikes me as a bug. :)

What change did you make? Changed the static IP address? Changed from DHCP to static? Moved an IP address from one interface to another? …

I changed the WAN from one interface to another.  For example, it was assigned to em0 and I changed it to em2.

I have a recollection (it was at least a couple of months ago) that when I interchanged WAN and LAN interfaces through the console I also had to restart the web server before the change fully took effect. But its too long ago for me to be confident I remember it correctly.

It might be worthwhile posting your other issue in a separate topic so it doesn't get lost.
