Access bridged modem, on WAN / PPPoE

I need to access regulary my adsl modem, standing in front the WAN port configured in PPPoE mode.

Browsed the archive and stumbled across the following post:

It seems it is impossible with pfsense - but maybe something has changed since 1.0Beta3?
