While some of these things may benefit from tweaking, the biggest problem is the lack of scrolling or switch to two columns in the drop-down menus if they contain more items than fit the hight of the window/screen.

with a bunch of optional packages installed, many choices are simply not selectable in this theme, because the drop-down menu is longer than the window/screen is high.

That's why there are several themes available for use. People with low resolution devices are generally happier with the "pfsense" theme. It gets switched automatically for people on Android/iPhone/iPad.
