Restore config.xml

My pfsense crash recently. I install a new cf card and restore the old config.xml. Th problem is that on this config file, it still had reference of the packages installed on the old cf card.

Can i remove these reference directly on the config file before restoring it ? Or do i have to reinstall the package and desinstall them to make sure everything is fine ?

you can delete the part between "installedpackages".
but then you will lost your package-config-saves.

I prefer to install packages and then restore config.
