Upgrade version and image size
-
I looked around the boards for an answer to this and found a few things that appeared to apply, but I wanted to double-check before I experiment.
I'm currently running nanobsd 2.0-RELEASE 1g on an Alix 2d3. I have a 2g CF card plugged into the board. I would like to use the other 1g of available space on the card. Is it possible to upgrade the to the 2g version via the manual firmware update in the GUI? Will I run into the "image size larger than configured partition" error (e.g. http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,39524.0.html)? Do I have to re-flash manually as this post indicates?
Thank you!
Excellent product. Very happy with Netgate and pfSense!

Yeah you will have to re-flash in that instance. Upgrade overwrites the partition on the card, not the entire card, so you have to re-flash to rewrite the partitions to be the larger size.
