Hi friends
I am working on PPTP wan client connection to pfsense PPTP server and it does not connect and says : (it is regardless of which interface you use for wan connection)** ppp: [opt1] COMPPROTO VJCOMP, 16 comp. channels, no comp-cid
ppp: [opt1] IPCP: SendConfigAck #8
ppp: [opt1] IPADDR 192.168.172.250
ppp: [opt1] COMPPROTO VJCOMP, 16 comp. channels, no comp-cid
ppp: [opt1] IPCP: state change Req-Sent –> Ack-Sent
ppp: [opt1_link0] rec'd unexpected protocol CCP, rejecting**
ppp: [opt1] IPCP: rec'd Configure Reject #34 (Ack-Sent)
ppp: [opt1] SECDNS 0.0.0.0
ppp: [opt1] IPCP: SendConfigReq #35
ppp: [opt1] IPADDR 0.0.0.0
ppp: [opt1] COMPPROTO VJCOMP, 16 comp. channels, no comp-cid
ppp: [opt1] PRIDNS 0.0.0.0
ppp: [opt1_link0] LCP: rec'd Terminate Request #24 (Opened)
ppp: [opt1_link0] LCP: state change Opened –> Stopping
ppp: [opt1_link0] Link: Leave bundle "opt1"
ppp: [opt1] Bundle: Status update: up 0 links, total bandwidth 9600 bps
ppp: [opt1] IPCP: Close event
ppp: [opt1] IPCP: state change Ack-Sent –> Closing
ppp: [opt1] IPCP: SendTerminateReq #36
ppp: [opt1] IPCP: Down eventI tested it with Windows PPTP Server and it is the same
Any buddy knows why?
Thank you -
That is not meant to connect to a remote PPTP VPN. It's meant to connect to certain special ISPs that require PPTP to login.

I tested it with pfsense or windows because it did not work with remote pptp server. I want to use it with ISP but it fails with kernel: Loop detected on pptp0.
What is the technical problem. because I think if you support PPTP connection on WAN. Other things are layer 3 or above issues and the packet is delivered to PPTP server. Is it about mpd insuffisance or adding some configuration in GUI can solve it.I appreciate you if letting me know what is the underlying problem about.
I really want to solve it and send a patch.
Best regards
