I recently upgraded v.2.0 to v.2.0.1 pfsense i386. Why not look at the list freeradius2 pfsense package. That there is only freeradius v.1.1.8.
How do I get freeradius2 appear in the list of packages in pfsense gui.

      Thanks

Did you have freeradius2 package installed on 2.0 i386 ?
If yes then it will be installed automatically after upgrade to 2.0.1 and then you will find it in "Installed packages".

If this doesn't work then go to:
        DIAGNOSTICS -> BACKUP/RESTORE and click:
"Clear Package Lock" and/or "Reinstall all packages"
        check again for freeradius2

You can try to delete all freeradius.inc and .xml files in

        /usr/local/pkg/

If you are running pfsense as an embedded system then not all packages are available.

No, I have never installed freeradius-2 before. Since the version 2.0.0, FreeRADIUS-2 does not exist in the package list, I think after the upgrade to version 2.0.1 i386 package freeradius-2 will automatically exist on the list. However the reality freeeradius-2 package has not been seen in the package list.
How to have freeradius-2 can I install

Do you use the "nanobsd/embedded" version of pfsense or du you use the memstick/CD version ?

On nanobsd/embedded not all packages are available. You can do some tricks to install packages on nanobsd version but for that you have to search the forum.

I use the install cd version pfsensei386.
Do I have to reinstall the pfsense machine, or is there another way that I can install freeradius-2.
I've tried using pkg_add-r means it still can not walk.
              please solution. thanks

Did you installed pfsense on your hard disk or running it from cd?

I have two testing virtual machines and on both freeradius2 is listed on available package. when it is already instaled, it move to installed packages tab.

I use the hard drive. I might have to reinstall my pfsense machine.

                    You should reinstall your machine.
freeradius2 is available for HDD install on amd64 and i386 :)
