It's been getting beaten to death by spiders today, after an upgrade last week we forgot to put in the robots.txt to disallow indexing that completely kills the server (redmine has some fun quirks there without it, every commit in the repo has numerous links to the same thing, making for hundreds of thousands of pages that take a ton of resources to generate, eventually hanging up ruby entirely or running the system out of Apache processes). Most of them haven't picked up the robots.txt change I made earlier just yet so it's still getting beaten to death.

Thx Palmer….was thinking that I was the only one.... :D

I had the same problem and yesterday and some days in the past.
Further since one or two weeks I have problems when replying on forum posts. It tooks a longe time while browsing the forum is fast.
I do have the problem on different Internet connections and routers/firewalls. -

I do have the problem on different Internet connections and routers/firewalls.I've seen that too on occasion, did some checking into it with nothing found. Haven't had time to really dig into it. Felt like reverse DNS lookup delay, but I disabled that in SMF and it didn't change anything.

I had to go in the admin settings and re-save on the default columns setting, then it came back.
I could swear I brought over the robots.txt when I upgraded it this last time, but apparently not. :-)
