VoIP Classification
-
Hi all,
I have a pfSense 2.0 embedded box running great with two uplinks, one cable and one DSL. A good amount of VoIP traffic (SIP and RTP) originate from within my LAN. Is there any way to classify this traffic and request that it takes the DSL link by default? Of course if the DSL link is loaded or down I'd still want it to use the cable link, but my goal is to use the DSL as primary for VoIP traffic. Thanks for any info.

First, create a failover on system routing, then create a firewall and apply this gateway.
To match voip, the firewall rule could be src=voip_server or dst=voip_provider or sip and RTP ports.

Good idea, that's very simple. Thanks!
