      Hello,

im using pfsense with a captive portal. And now i will save the logs where the guests are surfing. So i've installed squid as addin (System -> Packages). Is that the right way to safe the logs on a syslog Server? Or is there an other way?
But how can i enable squid? Do i config squid with Services -> Proxy Server? And at Stats -> Package Logs is nothing to see. I hope you can help me!!

      Thanks a lot!

You need to install the Lightsquid package to get the logs.

          Thanks!
          I've configured squid like this:
          http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Setup_Squid_as_a_Transparent_Proxy

And now i've installed lightsquid. But now where can i set the settings (ip) to get the logs to my syslog-Server?

It is not possible to log squid traffic to a syslog server.
It is only possible to make squid traffic visible with lightsquid package or any other package which can analyze the "access.log" file of squid. So in theory it would be possible to give an external app access to the access.log file on pfsense.

              Ok thanks a lot!

Lightsquid is running on pfsense. But how do i configure lightsquid? Or do you prefer an other package?

              Edit:
I found it Status-> Proxy report
But i get the following error:

report folder var lightsquid report not contain any valid data

              What did i wrong?
