HP dc7100SFF and Excessive Heat [SOLVED]

I'm sorry if this is the wrong area, or if this is obvious to the advanced users.
I'm pretty new to pfSense, but I love it.My issue is that I'm running this at home, and not in a cooled server room. If I was, I wouldn't worry about it so much.
The first pic shows it at 100% CPU usage. This concerned me, so I looked at the system activity and it showed 100% or close to it for idle.
Why is the computer running so (no actual numbers, but the heat coming out of the back is really warm on my hand - REALLY warm on my hand.) hot? When it was running windows XP it was barely warm? My first thought was drivers of some sort. On Linux, without installing my video card drivers, the GPU is super hot, but cools down when the proper driver is installed. I'm not finding anything regarding drivers in this sense. Am I missing something?

It looks like you might have device polling enabled. It almost certainly shouldn't be.
Disable it in, System: Advanced: Networking:Steve

I did. Disabled it and I will check it in a few. Will update soon.

This did it. I don't remember turning that on. But thank you very much. I look forward to learning more about pfSense. It's a great system.

If you're still worried about heat then mbmon will probably work on that age of box.
There are quite a few references on the forum.Steve
