I am new to PFSense, i am wondering if it is possible to downgrade from 2.1 to 2.0.1 by using the option:

    |>System > Firmware > Upgrade Firmware

If it is possible and i downgrade PFSense, will FreeBSD 8.3 > 8.1 also be downgraded?

The config version is not downgradable. A firmware update would replace all of the binary files, but it would toss out your config since it's "too new", you'd have to restore a copy of your config from when you were last running 2.0.x.

Thank you for your exploitation, but for an better understanding, does "would replace all of the binary" also mean it will downgrade my FreeBSD?
