Unexpected reboot
-
I'm running:
2.0.1-RELEASE (amd64)
built on Mon Dec 12 18:43:51 EST 2011
FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE-p6I have two instances setup with Carp in a failover pair. Our primary instance failed over to our backup instance for about 25 minutes today and then failed back. It appears that the primary instance unexpectedly rebooted itself. I noticed in the release notes for 2.0.1 that it says pfSense will create a crash dump and reboot, where can I find the crash dump? Nothing appears in /var/crash where I would have expected to find it.
Unfortunately, this box is in a colo center and I cannot see anything that may be (or may have been) on the console.
Any pointers to where I might look for clues?
Thanks in advance.

Are these full installs or nanobsd?
The crash dumps are only kept on full installs, nanobsd would just automatically reboot.
Without any other info it's hard to say, but you could be hitting this:
