Use the 1GB image, it will work just fine on a 2GB card.

Edit: Thanks for the Nano images.  :)

If you use a smaller upgrade image, you will need to remove the size check in /etc/rc.firmware or reinstall when you want to go back to the proper size upgrade image.  If you are comfortable with doing that or don't mind reinstalling later, go ahead.

Then it might be a good idea to provide 2g images then too for people who doesn't want to fiddle with this.

Quick and silly question…in the filenames, what is the number after the date supposed to represent?  For example, in:

                  pfSense-2.1-DEVELOPMENT-1g-i386-nanobsd-upgrade-20120315-1352.img.gz

what does 1352 mean?  I'm trying to understand if it's a time-of-day, or something related to the SCM system, or…???...

                  Thanks!

                  Bruce.

We don't include VGA nanobsd images in the snapshots, we only do those for the actual release.

Is there anyway to have try to include by myself the vga mode in the latest version?

The serial port sometimes works another it doesn't…

Not unless you setup a builder and make your own. We might make some before too long but it'll be a while yet. They aren't as popular as the other images, and it would vastly increase the builder time to make them.

Ok thank you, then I will use a HDD in the meantime and I'll keep my SSD for the new release.
