        Take a deep breath and give it a go. Not enough Chipset info etc. to give an absolute answer. Maybe somebody knows better.

        FreeBSD partitioning is different so you will need a whole disk, partitioning with GParted like many other partition managers, are NOT an option. Although some partition managers can create UFS Slices. If you r a partitioning guru, go ahead.

        Your Network Gig cards may be a problem but should show up as BCE0 and 1, or is it 1 and 2. BCE(4) is the driver for that particular NIC Card.
        You could look at the FreeBSD 8.1 hardware guide for pfsense 2.0.1 latest stable release, 8.3 with pfsense 2.1 snapshot I believe. If 2.0.1 doesn't work maybe try the latest snapshot.
