Does anyone have any sources for Lanner products?

Specifically I'm looking to order a few to test w/ multiple NIC's (6-8 ports).

What are the cost on these?  I've seen some people here say they are using them but no mentions on pricing.

If anyone else has any other possibilities/suggestions similar to the Lanner products (1U or Desktop Appliance w/ 6+ ethernet ports, 10/100 is fine).  The cheaper the better.  FreeBSD/pfSense support required.

      Thanks!

How about a small PC with two PCI cards, 4 x 10/100 ports each card? Example card: http://soekris.com/products/lan1741-1.html about US$100.

But you could buy a reasonable 8 port VLAN capable switch for rather less than US$200 and connect the switch to a single GigE interface and use VLANs and the switch to act as a "port multiplier". The idea has been discussed in a number of topics in the pfSense forums.

I've bought directly from Lanner before.  The prices are reasonable as long as you keep in mind that you're buying something designed as a network appliance and don't try and add up the cost of comparable parts from NewEgg.

EDIT:  I've got a pair of these.  http://www.lannerinc.com/x86_Network_Appliances/x86_Rackmount_Appliances/FW-7872

          I can break anything.

Mind sharing how much you paid for those units?  Depending if they work for what I want to do, I may buy in smaller quantities (10-50 units).

That would also work if I could build a smaller machine.  These units would serve as CPE's at the customer premises, so they need to look semi-appealing and be small/low maintenance for us.  Suggestions on cases and boards/setup that would support the PCI card?

As this is a CPE, I'm trying to keep a low price point as possible.

Netgate is selling the Lanner FW7535D - http://store.netgate.com/Netgate-FW-7535-P1693C83.aspx

They don't state it's a Lanner box on their site, but they link to databeestje's bandwidth review for the FW7535D (http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,27780.msg144750.html) to show the unit's capabilties. :-)

They're really solid units, lots of people like them.

Yeah I noticed Netgate - I was just trying to find some other vendors.  I'm guessing I could get a better price, especially when ordering in qty than what Netgate can offer.  I guess I'll just contact Lanner directly.  They look like nice boxes for sure.

I'll probably do a small Atom or i3 box if I can build a smaller box with PCI card that would look nice as a CPE, or just go the small machine route w/ 2 NIC's and a  VLAN switch.  I really wanted an all in 1 approach though.

Lanner does sell direct. Please keep in mind though, our recommended hardware vendors, especially Netgate, do a huge amount to keep this project running and Lanner direct and other vendors do nothing. We simply couldn't exist without our recommended hardware vendors' support.

Anyone know where these are available in the UK and maybe a price.

                      Thanks in advance.
