After an apparently clean package install, and after every restart I get these error messages on my console.

Enter an option: VMware Memory control driver initiated
      Link_elf_obj: symbol HgfsdebugPrintVattr undefined
      linker_load_file: Unsupported file type

uninstalling the package cleans it up ..

      any ideas?

I have sucessfully tested on 32 bits but I do not remember the 64 test result.

what do you get if you try the stable version of this package?

Also experiencing this issue w/ amd64 on ESXi 5.  It does not seem to negatively impact operations, though?

It should be noted I'm not running in production yet.

                  caustic386,

try the stable package for vmtools, this error may stop your vmxnet network driver

                  att,

Does the stable version support vmxnet2?  Ideally I'd like to run vmxnet3, but this is my first run with pfSense so I'm trying to KISS.
