I have ether found a problem or miss understand the functionality of the LDAP. I have noticed that you are able to log into the system with no password when one is set in AD. Is this right?

      I am ruinning:
      2.0.1-RELEASE (i386)
built on Mon Dec 12 18:24:17 EST 2011
      FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE-p6

I would like to know this as well. I haven't been able to get Active Directory Authentication working on my pfSense VM, and I am currently trying to figure out how much time is worth putting into it because I can't seem to locate a straight answer on whether AD authentication works with pfSense… ???

        Regards,

It is easy to get it working you just have the big issue that you can login with no password.

If I can get this working with a password I will post how to do this, as username only is not good security.
