In our network, we will experience more and more people with a mobile phone that can also do SIP, and I would like to know if there is any standard way of handling this so we can expect this to work without having to taylor it to each specific case?

We are now on pfSense 2.0.1

    Regards,

In most all cases it will work with completely default settings, especially with SIP clients. The scenarios where there are numerous possible required configurations depending on the provider are where your have a PBX inside the network with a SIP trunk out to the Internet.
