Degraded array Email alerts?

I have purchased the oh so popular super micro D525 super server.

It's going to be deployed in my colo ~2000 miles away.

I've been testing quite a bit over the last month and the only thing that I cant seem to figure out is how to get an Email alert if a disk fails.

PFSense will not see the array if i set SATA >RAID>ADAPTEC

I can install with SATA>RAID>INTEL but then its blind to the drive health.

if i install SATA?AHCI I can configure a GEOM mirror and it then at least knows if one drive is acting up but i dont see any options to send Email alerts.

anyone know where this option is?

We don't yet have a way to do alerts for that. It's on the roadmap for a future version but it hasn't been done yet.
