      Hi everyone,

I am about to buy a rack server to create an appliance for pfSense 2.0 but i have some doubts…

      This is the configuration:

      • MOTHERBOARD SUPERMICRO MB X7SPE-HF-D525 (ATOMD525 DDRII-SODIMM SATARAID015 IPMI)

      • HDD Support Retention Bracket for up to 1x 2.5" HDD (MCP-220-00051-0N)

      • RISER Riser 1U PCIe - PCIe (CSE-RR1U-E8) –- needed for the aditional network adapter

      • RAM DDR3ECC 2GB 1333MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 SO-DIMM

      • HDD SATA 2,5" HDD Seagate Momentus 7200.4 500GB SATA2 2.5" 7200RPM (ST9500420AS)

      • Network Adapter Intel PRO/1000PT PCIe Dual Port (EXPI9402PT)

      • Chassis SMC 1U CAIXA SUPERMICRO CSE-502L-200B (1U Appliance)

I have been looking in the white list and it seems to me that this hardware are all compatible, but the chipset of this board is ICH9R and in the white list i only found ICH9… This might be a problem?!
Here is the web page with the specifications of motherboard: http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/ATOM/ICH9/X7SPE-HF-D525.cfm

Another question, is related with the network adapter… This one is really to expensive! Can anyone suggest another more cheap? I know that Intel mean quality, but at this moment i am more concerned with price  :-\

      Thank you!
