I have a dual port Intel gigabit card on my pfsense. One port is for WAN and one is used for 3 local VLANs. I need to ensure that the 3 local VLANs have good gigabit speeds and if available use frame burst up to 9000K. The smart switch has the capability for frame burst till 9000K.

In system:advanced:networking I see options for "hardware TCP segmentation offload & hardware large receive offload".

I have removed the default check box to "enable" both hardware TCP segmentation offload & hardware large receive offload. Is this config right?

The hardware offloading is disabled by default because some NICs/drivers do not support it correctly leading to problems. You should be OK with Intel NICs though.
