I set pfsense to transparent mode and I am unable to get a dhcp address from my internet router.  If I plug my machine in to the wan side directly I get a dhcp address.  If I set to a static address on the LAN side, everything works - I have internet access, etc.  The only thing that does not seem to work is getting a dhcp address passed through the pfsense.

I followed the directions here  http://pfsense.trendchiller.com/transparent_firewall.pdf

      I have a simple
1 machine lan <–-> pfsense <---> wan network <---->  internet gateway router serves dhcp

So simple, must have missed a step, I had to enable all traffic to pass on the wan port.
