How to prevent my pfsense IP Address being crash?

Hi, I've a pfsense installed on a hostel. Let say a person connect a router to the network & under the router WAN setup set to the same pfsense gateway address. I've tried on that, it crash my pfsense. The whole entire network cannot surf the net.

Can anyone guide me how to prevent from such thing happen? Thx.

You have to prevent that before it gets to your firewall, your firewall can't stop that. On a wired network, your switch has to control that, on wireless, your access point.
