Embedded nanoBSD behaviour if power fails

My network cabinet is currently supplied by a simple APC 650 UPS originally obtained to protect against dips and brownouts. The Edimax wired router I currently use doesn't mind if the power is yanked, but what about my forthcoming Atom pfSense embedded system under such conditions ?
.There is an Windows XP desktop that is connected to the UPS but I wouldnt want to rely on this to run something to halt the pfSense. I also have a Windows Home Server elsewhere in the house running on the same type of UPS which can run some sort of script to shutdown another machine if it can get to it ( I would have to remotely power another switch). Question is , is it worth all the bother if it's not going to get corrupted anyway ? -
Have you looked into the nut package? http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Nut_package
You could potentially run that on pfSense and a nut client on your windows machine.
That said I've never managed to cause pfSense a problem with a hard power down when using the NanoBSD install.Steve

NanoBSD it's all in the RAM running, the storage is read-only. Power fail no problem.
