      Hello,

This is my second try: the first post seemed to break.  If this is a repeat, I apologize.

I have included a drawing, and a backup of my configuration.

I built this network as a proof of concept for the failover/loadbalancing abilities of pfsense.  The hardware is 2d13 alix system, with pfsense 1.2.3 release installed.  I used the instructions on this page: http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Multi-WAN_Version_1.2.x.

When I disconnect the wan port, the network traffic switches over to the opt-wan just fine.  However, when I reconnect the wan port, the loadbalancer status never shows the wan port as online anymore.  Pfsense's interface status shows the ethernet port is up again, I even ran ifconfig via the commandline to verify the port flags were proper.

Sometimes though, this exact same problem occurs only with the other port: when I disconnect the opt-wan port, it won't come back online again without a reboot.

I see this occurs even when I reload factory defaults and start all over again.

If I had to guess, I would say either the loadbalancer somehow isn't getting the message about the ethernet port coming back online, or that pfsense seems to stop checking monitor ports.

      Thank you for your time…

Ah: I forgot to ask my question:Does anyone see anything wrong with my configuration, or does anyone have any suggestions I might try?

        Thanks!
