I could not give you any date but if the beta versions work for you there should be no problem in the future to easy update to the release.
As far as I know pfsense 2.1 should be released on "World IPv6 day" - which was on june this year if I am correct. So perhaps the release will not be to far in the future.

      But nothing for sure  ;)

We're hoping 2.1 will be out in the next 1-2 months but there is no solid date. We only like to put things out when they're ready.

As for 2.2 we haven't even begun speculating on that date yet. It will be sometime after FreeBSD 9.1, but realistically probably about 6 months or more after 2.1 releases.

Does it exist in FreeBSD? If so, maybe, if not, then probably not.

Some hardware that supports it would probably also have to show up in the right hands.

Assuming you need IB to achieve speeds in excess of the usual 10GbE (or even 20Gbps with two of them in LACP), has anyone tested PF to see if it can actually keep up at such high speeds ?

If implemented id be happy to…
I got 6 servers with dual port Mellanox cards and a topspin 120 switch along with a Woven Systems TRX-100 Network Switch
My pfSense box has a Mellanox card in it that right now is in a vegetative state as there's no drivers as of yet.

                    Servers are as follows:
                    2x HP DL360 G4 - Dual 3.6GHz Xeon w/ 8GB RAM, 2x 74GB SCSI-U320 Raid 0
First box is my pfSense box and the Second is my FreeNAS box
                    4x HP DL580 G4 - Quad 3.4GHz DC Xeon w/ 16GB RAM, 2x 36GB 10K SAS + 4x 300GB 10K SAS

                    The DL580's have MHGA28-1TC and the DL360's have MHET2X-1TC...
And yes, I am aiming for LACP :)

If it ain't broken, fix it till it is :P

As far as I know it's only available on 9.0. It may be backported to 8.x in the future but I'm not sure about that.

Looks like there's a deffinite answer now :)
